As a Software Developer, you’ll be responsible for managing and further developing the applications built in-house by Acture. We work with the latest technologies and host our applications in Microsoft Azure. You’ll join a DevOps team that operates according to agile principles. What you’ll do

As a Software Developer.

  • Contribute to the evolution of an internal ERP platform for case management (Sickness Benefits and WGA), payroll, tax filings, and invoicing;
  • Work with the latest technologies such as containerization and microservices;
  • Apply SOLID principles in your development work;
  • Develop software according to agreed DevOps team practices, with full consideration for “security and privacy by design”;
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and fellow DevOps team members to align on user needs;
  • Later accompany the transition of our legacy .NET applications to our new unified Ruby on Rails based platform.

Your experience

In addition to a personal match.

  • A Bachelor’s level of working and thinking (HBO);
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Willingness to transition from .NET to Ruby on Rails over approximately 2 years, during which we’ll train and guide you to become a Ruby on Rails Engineer;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer-oriented skills;
  • Experience with or knowledge of Microsoft Azure is a plus;
  • Full-stack development experience within the Microsoft technology stack (.NET and C#);
  • Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks such as Vue, Angular, or React;
  • Proficiency in T-SQL for SQL Server;
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) is a plus;
  • Fluent in spoken and written English;
  • A proactive attitude toward remote collaboration using tools like Microsoft Teams.
