The Role

We’re looking for a Team Lead for Ruby on Rails Development to lead a distributed team of 10–15 engineers across Europe. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll combine technical contribution with team mentorship, ensuring strong delivery while fostering a positive, high-performing engineering culture.

You’ll work closely with product and leadership to shape solutions, maintain momentum, and drive continuous improvement across both code and team dynamics.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of Ruby on Rails developers
• Stay hands-on with coding, architecture, and code reviews
• Maintain and improve code quality, testing, and engineering standards
• Identify bottlenecks and keep projects moving efficiently
• Take ownership of technical challenges and implement long-term solutions
• Contribute to product shaping using pragmatic principles
• Foster an open, collaborative, and feedback-driven team environment
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Your Profile

• 6+ years experience with Ruby on Rails
• Strong full-stack development background
• Experience in startup or scale-up environments
• Previous leadership or mentoring experience
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Passion for clean code, testing, and continuous improvement
• B2B SaaS experience is a plus
